GATE Exam 2010 Eligibility

GATE Eligibility 2010

1. Bachelor's degree holders in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture/Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2) and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes.

2. Master's degree holders in any branch of Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes.

3. Candidates in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Master's degree programme (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/Technology or in the third or higher year of Five-year Integrated Master's degree programme and Dual Degree programme in Engineering/Technology.

Candidates with qualifications obtained through examinations conducted by professional societies recognised by UPSC/AICTE (e.g. AMIE by IE(I), AMICE(I) by the Institute of Civil Engineers (India)-ICE(I)) as equivalent to B.E./B.Tech. Those who have completed section A or equivalent of such professional courses are also eligible.

    You can appear for gate provided you have scored above 60% in MCA. It will be better to directly consult the admission department of the nearest IIT, since the status of distance mode is not clear.

    Probably certain institutions/college has fixed min percentage of marks achieved as 60 %in BE/B Tech besides a certain percentile in gate score card/Sponsor ship for candidate. My question is very specific that Which college relax the min marks in BE / B tech up to 58%?
