GATE 2013 Email Verification Link Problems

Some applicants have complained not receiving email verification link, when trying to register in the GATE Online Applicant Interface.  Please keep in mind the following and make sure there is no mistake during registration.

1. Several lakhs of applicants have successfully verified their email address using the link sent to their email address.
2. New users have to register their email first before filing an online application.  
3. Common Errors are:
   1. Spelling mistake in the email address given
   2. Registered with one email and checking in another.
   3. Did not register at all.  The following screen will be seen after you register 
4. How to Check if there was a spelling mistake or not ?
   1. Visit the main site.
   2. At its bottom you will find a link to send the email verification again,  and a page will appear clicking on it, that looks like this:
   3. When you enter the correct email address here, two things can happen:
      1. If you had typed the email address correctly the first time, then you will be sent the verification link again to your email address.
      2. If you had made a mistake earlier, then you will be told that the email address is not registered.  You then have to register afresh again.
5. It can also happen that the mail sent by us is not seen in your INBOX.  You must check your SPAM folder.
